Australian Access Federation (AAF) Events Calendar 2025

Established in 2009, the AAF have been providing trust and identity services for the research and higher education sector for 15 years. We’re a not-for-profit, whose services support the unique needs of our community members and subscribers. We’re also proud to be part of the Australian Government eResearch Infrastructure Roadmap and a national provider of digital research infrastructure for the National Collaborative Research Infrastructure Strategy (NCRIS).

20 – 23 MAY – AUSCERT Cyber Security Conference – Gold Coast

The AUSCERT Conference is the oldest information security conference in Australia, and brings together over 900 participants, to discuss IT security issues, innovations and learnings in the cyber security sector. Learn more >

25 – 28 MAY – THETA 2025 – Perth

The Higher Education Technology Agenda (THETA) is Australasia’s leading biennial IT conference for professionals working in higher education and research and eResearch. THETA serves as a forum to showcase ideas, research and best practice, gain new ways of thinking, and collaborate with like-minded colleagues. THETA 2025 will be held 25-28 May, in Perth, WA. 28-29 MAY – CAUDIT Autumn Members’ Meetings – Perth

Held over two days, bi-annually, the CAUDIT Members’ Meeting is a private forum for CIO’s/CDO’s and IT Directors from CAUDIT member organisations to come together and discuss latest trends within the sector, share solutions to common issues and identify areas of mutual interest. Learn more >

17 – 18 SEPTEMBER – AHECS Cybersecurity Summit – Sydney

On behalf of the AHECS partners, AAF, AARNet, AusCERT, CAUDIT, and REANNZ, we are pleased to invite you to the 2025 Australasian Higher Education Cybersecurity Service (AHECS) Summit.

The 2025 AHECS Cybersecurity Summit will be held on Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 September at the PARKROYAL Paramatta, Sydney, with the welcome reception on Tuesday 16 September.

The AHECS Summit has a distinctive focus on the cybersecurity needs of the Australian higher education and research sector; this unique forum is a result of the ‘by the sector, for the sector’ AHECS partnership.
