The Australian ORCID Steering Committee (OSC) acts in the interests of Consortium members. Their role is to guide AAF, as Consortium Lead, to keep the Consortium sustainable for the long term.
The committee also provides expert advice on the Australian National Persistent Identifier (PID) Strategy and Roadmap and helps shape future PID policy.
In 2026, the Australian ORCID Steering Committee was merged with the National PID Strategy Advisory Group for which the AAF provides secretariat support.
