AAF at eResearch Australasia 2025: Advancing Trust and Identity in Digital Research
Brisbane, QLD – The AAF was proud to participate in the eResearch Australasia Conference 2025, the premier forum for exploring how technology is transforming research across Australia and beyond.
Throughout the event, the AAF team welcomed attendees to our booth, where we shared insights into how we’re enabling trusted and secure access to Australia’s digital research infrastructure. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with researchers, technologists, and institutional leaders committed to advancing collaboration and innovation.
Day 2: AAF Presentations
2:00 PM – Australian Trust and Identity Roadmap for National Research Infrastructure
Presenters: Heath Marks & Margie Jantti
This session explored the strategic direction for simplifying and securing access across Australia’s national digital research ecosystem, highlighting the importance of a unified trust and identity framework.
2:20 PM – BoF Session: Co-designing a System-wide Approach to Trust and Identity
Facilitators: Sarah Thomas & Dr Fahame Emamjome
In this Birds of a Feather session, participants engaged in a dynamic discussion on shaping a collaborative, system-wide approach to trust and identity for national research infrastructure.
Day 3: Operationalising Trust in Dataspaces
11.00 AM – Operationalising Trust in Dataspaces: Trust and Identity Framework Implications
Presenter: Dr Fahame Emamjome
By connecting governance models with trust and identity policies, Dr Emamjome’s work is paving the way for secure, scalable, and collaborative data ecosystems. His insights offer valuable guidance for policy makers, system architects, and implementers working to enable trusted cross-institutional data sharing.
